7. Pear Face Shape - Least Common, But Not Least Fabulous

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Pear shape, also known as Triangular shaped face, is the combination of greater width at the chin and jaw line and narrowness at the hairline and forehead. With your pear-shaped face it is best to look for wigs that will add volume above the jaw line. Layers create volume and fullness on the upper half of your face, deflecting the attention from the middle of the face. Don't be afraid to show your forehead which draws attention upward and away from a full jaw line. If you have bangs, angle them slightly and tuck them behind the ears to frame the jaw line and draw attention upward. Hair on the sides of your head and at the nape are best set and combed in a pattern close to the head since any style too voluminous will add weight to the bottom of the face.

Wear your hair wide and full at the top of the head and temples, brushed away from the face and up toward the ear to widen forehead; from the ear, angle hair forward toward the chin to soften and narrow a strong jaw. Do not wear styles that are full at the jawline however.

Chin length, or longer, is highly recommended for this face shape. Quick, somebody forward this blog to Kelly Osbourne!
